Welcome to DalJones Racing!

2007 Jackson Prairie Speedway Mini Stock Champion

2008 Outlaw Compact Rookie of The Year

DalJones Racing was formed in 2005, and in their short existence has experienced an unimaginable amount of success.  After finishing 2nd in points in the Stinger class at Jackson Prairie Speedway in 2006, they decided to move up a class to Ministocks for 2007 and won the season championship. Their motto is to keep it simple, cheap, and "stand on it".

With the announcement of Jackson Prairie Speedway's closing, DalJones Racing was forced to find a new venue to support their love for racing.  The Outlaw Compacts, a touring mini stock club, filled that role.  The Outlaws combine some of the best ministock drivers and some of the best tracks around the northwest.  This combination results in very clean, very competitive racing.

In addition to the ministock, 2 DJR Hornets will be raced at Grays Harbor Raceway in the new Hornet class whenever possible in 2009.

Mark has stepped away from the driving duties for 2009 leaving a seat that only the team owner and car builder can fill.  Zach will be piloting the DJR #22 Outlaw Compact during the 2009 season.

2009 Results:

April 25 marked the first race date of 2009.  In following with tradition Zach did some off-roading and tangled with a giant tractor tire before the racing even began.  After some thrashing in the pits, the car was good enough to take the green in both the heat race and main event.

After nearly completing hot laps, rain sent everyone on their way home from Stateline Idaho May 2.

2008 Recap:

After a rough start to the 2008 season...multiple trashed engines, a rainout, and a wreck...DJR was forced to embrace reliability instead of shear speed and it has payed off.

Mark qualified 14th out of 23 competitors and ended up with a 9th place finish in the 65 lap Ministock Invitational at Douglas County Speedway July 5th.

July 13th the DJR crew revisited Port Angeles Speedway.  After suffering a broken brake rotor during practice, they performed a quick repair and ran clean the rest of the evening.  The night was capped off by out-lasting their competitors and taking home a 4th place finish in the main event.

August 2-3 DalJones Racing headed east for the famed Idaho 200 weekend at Stateline Speedway in Post Falls, Idaho.  The weekend was a fun experience overall and consisted of second place finishes in both the trophy dash and heat.  An unscheduled pit stop under yellow during the main event had Mark tailing the field at the restart where he quickly passed the slower cars and picked up a few more positions for another top 10 finish.

August 9  With two races to go in 2008, a new engine and gearing combo was brought up to Port Angeles Speedway.  After light showers most of the day, the skys cleared and the Outlaws took to the track.  Limited practice laps didn't allow all the gremilins to be worked out before the main, as Mark had to pull off early with an overheating problem.

September 20  The final race of 2008 closely resembled the opening race, motor troubles.  On a positive note, Mark finished 5th in the points and earned Rookie of the Year honors.
